Grief does not need to be healed - it is the healing itself.

Dr. Mia Hetenyi

I’ve spent much of my life foraging the spice aisles, herb gardens and kitchen larders of Nature - curiosities that continue to shape my passion for the body, health and our ecosystems.

I’ve traversed the wild edges of conception, miscarriage, pregnancy, birth and motherhood, and I’m now stewarding my passage into menopause. These experiences alone do not qualify me, but they do inform the way I practise and teach.

I truly believe the journey through mid-life & peri/menopause is rEvolutionary in the sense that it calls for radical change, the shedding of old skin, patterns and habits. Like all rites of passage - peri/menopause re-shapes us physically, metabolically, neurologically, hormonally and spiritually.

Though for many women, symptoms of poor reproductive health can be complicated, and at times, unbearable - without appropriate guidance, wellness narratives, unrealistic standards and alternative philosophies can cause further harm.

I offer clients an informed and comprehensive perspective on their health options. I prescribe sound, evidence-based natural medicine as part of my therapeutic approach. I understand the unique physiology and subtle language of a Woman’s body. I am a grief and shadow worker, breath-work facilitator and experienced clinician.

A session with me is an opportunity to talk about your symptoms and unique experiences. I use my skills as a Naturopath, Herbalist and Nutritionist to best support your health and vitality as an ageing Woman (of which we all are). My work is grounded in both clinical knowledge and embodied wisdom - if this resonates with you, click on the link below to explore further details about my sessions.

Including my Bachelor of Health Science with a major in Naturopathic & Herbal Medicine which was only the beginning of what has become an indefinable medicine & wisdom I’ve come to know.

As a mum of 3 children, Mel was able to offer PRACTICAL solutions tailored to my specific needs. She educated me about the importance of nutrition, lifestyle adjustments, herbal medicine, and other natural modalities. With her guidance, I began to make significant changes in my diet and daily routine. Slowly but surely, I started experiencing positive and long-lasting shifts in my well-being.

In the spirit of authenticity, here's what you also need to know:

I’m not in the business of spoon-feeding programs, or before and after shots and brand hype. I don’t subscribe to company 'product-based’ protocols, quantum gidgets and gadgets or MLM (of any kind).

In fact, your body is the technology I use.

I may recommend Functional Pathology Testing for certain conditions only if I feel it’s necessary. If you’re seeking restrictive food plans or harsh detox programs then I ask that you look elsewhere - they're not my focus unless directly linked to the core of my work.

It is only fair that I tell you so.
